Hi All   Before proceeding further, let us present few figures   1. Inspite of all telecom companies making huge profits year on year, MTNL and BSNL are bleeding money like anything. They are surviving by selling their real estate assets every year. 2. With all private airlines showing profits or manageable losses, Air India losses are mounting. As per a RTI filed by Friends of people for Active Democracy,  Air India had losses of Rs 5138.9 Crores Million in year 2011-2012 and Rs 3807.3 Crs in 2012-2013.

         

We would like to take opinion of masses on this. Neither telecom nor Airlines are monopolistic public utility services like Indian Railways where tax payers should take the burden to help the poor. The bigger question is where this money is going. We assume more than the corruption, it is inefficiency. We hire only IAS officers and not corporate executives who know how to run the companies. May be this is time to start taking the performance review of all senior IAS officers but something need to be done. If MTNL and BSNL assets to be sold every year, let them be sold for productive causes Do participate in this poll
