Water balloons can be dangerous for several reasons, especially during Holi:
1. Injuries and Pain – When thrown with force, water balloons can hit people on the face, eyes, or ears, causing bruises, pain, and even serious injuries.
2. Environmental Hazard – The broken plastic pieces from balloons litter streets, clog drains, and harm animals who might ingest them.
3. Slippery Surfaces – Water balloons make roads and floors slippery, increasing the risk of falls and accidents.
4. Unhygienic – Sometimes, dirty or contaminated water is used, which can lead to infections and skin problems.
5. Not Fun for Everyone – Many people, especially children and elders, may not enjoy getting hit by water balloons and can feel harassed or unsafe.
A safer alternative is playing with dry colors (gulal) and using organic, eco-friendly Holi powders!
