Rahul Gandhi is against dynasty but he himself got the position due to dynasty
Rahul Gandhi who has recently been announced as the president of congress party without any elections being conducted, says, “dynastic politics was a “problem” in India, but maintaining that a large number of people in his party did not have a dynastic background.” At the same time he also added that a person’s background does not determine his capabilities.
Struggling through the questions whether congress has been more associated with dynastic politics, he responded saying “Most parties in India have that problem, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav is a dynast. Mr. Stalin [son of M. Karunanidhi in the DMK] is a dynast, even Abhishek Bachchhan is a dynast. So that’s how India runs. So don’t get after me because that’s how they India is run. By the way, last, I recall, Mr. Ambanis are running the business. That’s also going on in Infosys. So that’s what happens in India,” he said as he listed several prominent Indians born into famous families.
Rahul Gandhi has been labeled as a “failed dynast” by many. Despite his numerous attempts, he has not yet been able to do so. In Addition to that Akhilesh yadav also defended Rahul Gandhi’s remark on dynasty politics, saying “History was replete with examples of people taking a plunge into politics due to their family background.”
Dynasty has become a trend which is going on in India since a long time now. The point to wonder about is that whether this will be carried on to generations to come or will there be someone who will stand against this practice and set a new trend of “Able first!”.
