• Majority of the population of India wants this: 80% of the population is Hindu in India and for them killing of cows is a religious sin.
• Killing cows would rupture a cycle: A farmer uses to cows to cultivate the fields. The milk they give is used extensively by the dairy industry.  It is a disinfectant plastered on village houses and in its dry form is used as cooking or in gobar gas plants and even as manure. In numerous territories on the planet, cows are developed in expansive numbers for simply beef and that has disastrous ecological effects on total land used for grazing, greenhouse emissions and water usage and impacts on contaminating oceanic biological communities.

We would prefer not to bring that kind of culture into India.
