Do India need Rashtrapati Bhawan ?
We all know what kind of real responsibility and authority is enjoyed by the President of India. Some call Indian president a rubber stamp and others may also call rubber stamp. The funny thing is that the owner of this rubber stamp lives in a 12 acre bunglow where we have 320 acres dedicated for this rubber stamp. The house was built by Britishers as Viceroy house who was the administrative head in India.

Rashtrapati Bhavan“Presidential Residence”) is the official home of the President of India located in New delhi. It may refer to only the mansion (the 340-room main building) that has the President’s official residence, halls, guest rooms and offices; it may also refer to the entire 130 hectare (320 acre) President Estate that additionally includes huge presidential gardens , large open spaces, residences of bodyguards and staff, stables, other offices and utilities within its perimeter walls. The main palace building was formerly known as Viceroy’s House.
The PM house in India is only 12 acres in size. Even white house of USA is much smaller
and above all, we tax payers have to bear the running cost of this huge house.
