WOMEN’S SAFETY IN INDIA

 The question of women’s safety in India is a big one these days. Considering the recent crimes against women, particularly in the national capital, we cannot conclude that women are safe in India. When leaving the house alone, most women experience fear. The country’s women citizens always live in terror, which is a really terrible fact. Women’s personal protection has always been a concern for all Indian citizens. To make India’s situation regarding women’s safety better.

While it is true that more women are holding important positions in contemporary India—President, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Union Ministers, Leader of the Opposition, Chief Minister, Governor, etc.—they are also being exploited behind closed doors. They have equal rights to dignity, equality, and freedom from gender discrimination, according to the Indian Constitution. Indian women continue to experience a variety of issues, including forced prostitution, dowry murders, acid attacks, sexual harassment, and other violent crimes.

4.) The most important thing that any woman should be aware of and receive good self-defence training in is self-defence methods. They must be knowledgeable of various efficient defence strategies, such as groyne kicks and punch blocking, etc.

5.) Women should drive carefully and exercise extreme caution when travelling. When travelling in their own or a private vehicle, they must lock all of the doors.

{CONCLUSION}

The quantity and frequency of crimes against women are rising daily, despite the Indian government having established numerous effective rules and regulations to deal with and control these crimes. The treatment of women in this nation has gotten worse and more disrespectful recently. Women’s confidence in their own country’s safety has dropped as a result. Women worry about their safety and experience anxiety whenever they leave their homes (office, market, etc). We shouldn’t put the blame on the government since everyone in India, especially men who need to change their mindset toward women, is responsible for ensuring the safety of women.
